Meghan Pohl and Jessica Brewster are two women with one dream, to live a life growing, creating and eating.
They share the dream through their business in Saxonburg named “Batch” which offers homegrown and handmade foods and gifts. Their handmade jams, jellies and whatever else are fresh and bursting with local flavor.
Batch’s name is derived directly from their style of cooking and the artisan made goods they carry, handmade in small batches. They are intent in rekindling the simplicity of flavors they once enjoyed as children and the generations before them, but with a modern twist.
After 11 years of paying rent, they bought the building in Saxonburg with a loan from The Progress Fund in March of 2025. This gave Meghan and Jessica more control and equity in their business. That was certainly a sweet deal for them!
