The Progress Fund is proud to be one of the funders for Simeral Square, which was made possible with funds of the Richard King Mellon Foundation. This new downtown park is located along the east bank of the Youghiogheny River. The Grand Opening Celebration was held on Saturday, June 1, 2013. The park will provide residents and visitors views of the river, Great Allegheny Passage Trailhead, and opportunities to spend the day in the downtown to shop and dine.
