Washington, DC – September 10, 2015 – The U.S. Department of Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) announced awards of more than $202 million to 195 organizations. The Progress Fund is excited to announce that it received $1,653,000, the maximum amount it was eligible for under this year’s competitive grant process.

Trail Town Program® approved for federal grant
A nonprofit program addressing economic development in towns along the Great Allegheny Passage and other bicycle trails announced Tuesday it has been approved for a $140,000 federal grant.
Trail Town Program® Summit in Homestead, PA
Business owners, trail partners and community members along the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) and the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail (EPT) have been invited to summit meetings for updates on their respective trails and the economic benefits they bring to their communities.
The first meeting, a three-stage event that will focus on group tourism and packaging, will be Monday, April 27 at the Voodoo Brewery at 205 E. 9th Avenue in Homestead.
