The Abdouche Family has made a commitment to restoring this 11-story historic hotel in downtown Allentown.
Progress
The Americus opened for business in September 1927. For many years, it attracted famous guests and in 1984 was added to the National Register of Historic Places. It has been a long time coming, but the Americus is back as a premier Hotel, Business, Retail and Event Center. The Progress Fund was a participant in this project with their $650,000 loan.
Impact
Approximately 130 hourly wage jobs are expected to be created from this project.
